Does NRLA Portfolio do Making Tax Digital?

Yes, on its PortfolioPro tier. The NRLA's tier table lists automatic quarterly updates and annual returns to HMRC on PortfolioPro, which NRLA members add for £11 a month. The base Portfolio tier that comes with membership keeps records, but its table does not list HMRC submissions.
The NRLA names Taxd as its tax partner for PortfolioPro's quarterly and annual submissions. Bank feeds, through the open banking provider MoneyHub, are on PortfolioPlus (£5 a month extra for members) and PortfolioPro. The NRLA's own pages differ a little on what each tier does, so check the current tier table before you choose.
You do not have to use NRLA Portfolio for MTD because you are a member. Any commercial software that works with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax will do. We compare the two side by side on our NRLA Portfolio comparison page.
