Can I use more than one MTD software product?

Yes, you can use several products, but only one for each separate submission you make to HMRC. For example, a landlord cannot use two products to send quarterly property updates. If you use more than one, they must work together to meet all your requirements.
A common set-up is a spreadsheet or app for records plus bridging software to send them. The record-keeping software and the software that uses the records must be digitally linked before you send updates or submit your return.
Accepted links include linked spreadsheet cells, importing and exporting XML or CSV files, transferring files on a portable device, automated data transfer and an API. You do not need a link for software that only submits your tax return.
Once a record has been sent in a quarterly update, you must not move it manually, which rules out retyping or copy and paste. If you change products mid-year, plan how your records transfer first.
